To Get You Up to Speed

This place feels alien to me now. I have not logged in since Gilmore Girls was taken off the air. And before that, I've thrown in a few words, a few phrases in this journal to make you (and myself) think that I am still an online diarist and this site is still alive.

So I am a little rusty. Let's take it easy, shall we?

Just a brief update on what I've been up to. A list would be convenient, so here goes:

1) Picked up runnning. Ran 5.6km in the JP Morgan Race (2007, 2008), 21km in the Standard Chartered Marathon 2007, 5km in the Shape Run 2008 and most recently, 10km in the Army Half Marathon. Signed up for the 15km Real Run this October and the 42km Standard Chartered Marathon in December. Yup, training for these races actually take up a lot of cyberspace time. You have to be outside a lot, too.

2) Started knitting again. (First picked it up in 2004.) Since 2007, I have finished 1 sweater vest for Donny, 1 cardigan for me, 1 pullover for my dad and 1 sweater for my mom. Technically, my mom's sweater isn't finished yet because I need to sew the knitted pieces together so that it can function as a garment. It's been sitting in my closet for a couple of months now. I also made a few small things like handphone pouches, baby booties (again, need to sew the edges before I can give it to some lucky baby), a scarf/shawlette and a red Elizabethtown-inspired hat. I have a list of projects and a cabinet full of yarn skeins that are just dying to be knit. But...

3) I am also studying part-time. That means after I have clocked 8 hours or so of work, I still have to go for lectures and do homework and stuff. So yeah, my calendar is pretty packed.

So those are the three major things that are outside of my love life (it still exists). You'll get all the juicy details in later entries.
