Sleep: Chicken Soup for the Student's Soul
Today heralds my freedom. From exams this semester! At some point I thought it was never going to end. But it did! Today! YAY!
First thing I want to do is to catch up on sleep. I like studying most of the time, it's just ... tiring. This semester-- my second to the last, if everything goes well-- made me forget I need about 7 hours of sleep a day. I voluntarily cut down my sleeping time in exchange for three more hours of study time, knowing that in doing so, I am putting myself at risk of a headache and possibly, slow processing time. Luckily though, I was exempted from all those irritating sleep-deprivation side effects. Except eye bags and pimples. But the latter is in proportion to stress more than anything else. Anyway, I am just relieved and so happy that I can sleep all I want.
Oh, wait. I only have this weekend to go crazy and do fun stuff. After that, it's all serious final year project stuff. Okay, two precious days. I have some planning to do. Or not. Since when do I plan?
Tonight's perfect for sleep. It's like my gift for working so hard the past three weeks. It's been raining since ... I don't know, 10 pm? I am alone in my room and seriously considering lighting the huge candle I got as a birthday present, but couldn't because I have no lighter. My room has to be tidied up tomorrow (logically, and I'm talking my kind of logic here, if I cut down on sleep why should I cut it down further for cleaning? ) and I've got loads of laundry to do. But in the meantime, I'll take a well-deserved rest, hug my pillow and fall asleep listening to raindrops.
