Argh: The (Liam) Update
Apologies for a not-so-funny entry today because when your sanity is challenged daily with schoolwork and extra-curricular activities (that involves having to put up with strange people with a penchant for wasting time) and your only means of respite is your computer and The Internet, both of which you had to give up because computers are not magical objects and thus, WILL NOT WORK FOREVER, you end up disoriented like plant tissues agitated for a day. It breaks you (and then makes you ramble, culminating in the usage of your high school research project as a metaphor. Gah, the horror.). You become a drama queen.
In other words, Liam, though efforts have been made for its resurrection, still refuses to work. Naturally, Joycie’s frustrated, or, as I said to Jussy, “tear clothes, bang self on table over and over” kind of frustrated. I could go on and whine about what’s wrong with the world (momma, people living like they ain’t got no mommas) and why, among all the other computers out there, why does it have to be mine? But I’ve done more than enough of that. Liam’s still dead and I’m still frustrated.
Though not frustrated enough to quote a line from “Where is the Love” by Black Eyed Peas, apparently. Speaking of which (That previous sentence is so not there for transition. Okay, maybe it is.), I heard that they’re coming down to Singapore for the MTV Asia Awards. I’ve been here for more than 3 years and not once have I attended an MTV-organized event. Obviously, this is not for the lack of desire or time to show up for these things. I am simply unlucky and clueless as to how to get hold of tickets without actually having to spend half a day or so with a bunch of hysterical teenagers while clad in some form of bizarre clothing, or wait for Luck to pick my entry and give me a ticket to the damn show already! Suffice to say, I am never lucky when it comes to these kinds of stuff.
I’m back in school and enjoying most of it. I’ve never been so grateful for being this tired.
