What's Your Star Sign?

I don't usually believe in horoscopes but there are those days where what's written in those short horoscopes are freakishly true. Coincidence? Who knows?

Last Saturday, one of my flatmates mentioned that she's going to Kuala Lumpur for a business seminar. All of us were just talking, drinking juice, when all of a sudden, she had an idea and told me:

"Why don't you go to KL with me?"

Wha-- KL? Me? Woah.

"You can stay at my hotel. Then on Wednesday, since it's a public holiday over there, we can shop and see the sites."

My Malaysian flatmate added:

"Yeah! You should definitely go. It's easy. You just go to Golden Mile, buy your ticket for a coach to KL and it will drop you somewhere in Pudu-- then just find your way to the LRT station that will go to KLCC and that's it."

Okay: FIND YOUR WAY. I'm not too sure about that.

"Just ask around; they can speak English. It's very easy. KL is not so hard."

I got to tell you. I was divided between getting excited and being anxious because there's free hotel stay, shopping, siteseeing, cheaper goods--I mean, who could say no to that? On the other hand, there's the I'M BOUND TO GET LOST SOMEWHERE ALONG THE TRIP. And I have to prepare a lot of things because I might get a call from my company this week and what if they want me to start work the following week? I need to photocopy some documents and READ some handouts.

Then this morning, while watching the news, I flipped through the horoscope page and guess what's written there.

LEO July 23 - Sept 22

Just when you thought there were absolutely no surprises left in store for you, a friend goes and announces something shocking on the agenda -- and that they want you to accompany them. Admit it -- you're intrigued.

Holy --

Could it be more dead-on? Is this a sign?

But too bad the haze in KL is still choking the city. It's not so fun if that's the case because then every picture you take will show only half of your face because the other half is covered by a surgical mask.
