Stale Entries OR I Should Be Studying

Easter Vigil

Since I wrote a Pre-Easter Vigil Entry, I figured an Easter Vigil entry is in order. Or at least a paragraph that talks about it. Nothing much, really. As with the previous two Easter Vigils I had, it was three hours long. I sang too loud (I learned of this fact after the mass. How convenient.) that I was grateful nobody ran out of the church. All in all, the ceremony was beautiful. Everyone was joyous. Many people gave positive comments on my hair even though I just used a funky head band and that fact does not really fit in this paragraph. In short, my Holy Week was wrapped up nicely.

Neri Per Caso Concert (March 27)

If I had watched these guys last year, you'd think I wouldn't enjoy their concert as much as I enjoyed last year's. That is so not true. This year, they had the same repertoire, with maybe 1 or 2 or 3 new songs, I'm not sure. I didn't count or remember all of last year's repertoire. Anyway, the tickets were more expensive this year and with what little additions (meaning the 1 or 2 or 3 new songs) they made to this year's concert, you would most likely feel ripped off. Again, that is so not true! The venue rocks. It's small and we came early so we were seated in front, where you could practically touch the singers if you're crazy about them. This is not something I would do (or recommend). But it was tempting, I tell you. In convincing my boyfriend, Donny, (There, I mentioned his name. I will not be talking much about him in this diary even though he says he's okay with it because I'm selfish and I want to keep him for myself. Okay, it's not really that. It's just that I'm not comfortable writing about very personal stuff. So are we cool? We're still friends? Okay.) to be present at the venue an hour before the concert time, I told him, I want to be seated right under their noses. And we did! Literally. Hee (see below).

I had so much fun. They're good as ever, these guys. They still didn't perform "Here, There, and Everywhere", a.k.a My Wedding Song. The first time I heard their version, I fell in love with the song that if I had to have a wedding song, it would be THAT song. And that was last year. This year? Friends used that song for Phoebe's wedding. Then I went, "BUT THAT IS MY WEDDING SONG! AAAHHH!!! HOW! COULD! THEY!" But we know that's just overreacting.

Anyway, after the concert, we refused to leave without taking a picture with all of the Neri Per Caso guys. I mean, something like this may never happen again. Actually, after taking a picture with Massimo, my favorite NpC, I didn't care whether or not I could take a picture with all of them. Luckily, Donny was stubborn (who isn't?) and he took my suggestion of telling the manager that we're waiting for our turn to take a picture with them. And just like any Mentos commercial, that worked! (Note to self: Remember idea for Mentos commercial. Could be useful if asked to pitch in in the future.) So after half an hour of leaning against the wall (our backs may have made an impression on those walls), we did it! Woo! (Cue Mentos jingle.)

This should be the last update before exams. So that means, I may or may not write during the exam period. Let's see where boredom takes me.
